The University moves to distance learning until 16 January 2022

The University of Oulu will move to distance learning, in accordance with the guidelines from the Government of Finland. Teaching will take place remotely until 16 January 2022, and contact teaching is possible if it is considered necessary. The decision on the necessity is made by the teacher in charge of the course, who also informs students about the teaching arrangements.

At contact teaching, it is important to pay attention to distances and hygiene. The university strongly recommends the use of a mask. It is allowed to enter campuses only healthy and without any symptoms.

The Northern Finland’s Regional State Administrative Agency (AVI) has banned all public indoor and outdoor events and general meetings in Northern Ostrobothnia between 23 and 31 December 2021. Therefore, public events cannot be held at the university premises at that time.

The University's corona preparedness team will follow the recommendations and regulations of the authorities, and the University's coronavirus guidelines will be updated when needed.
