Project description

JustH2Transit is a transdisciplinary research initiative led by key experts from the national H2 ecosystem to accelerate the renewable H2 transition in Finland. The project provides science-based knowledge for supporting political decision-making and technology paths of renewing the industry, with a focus on climate-neutral, sustainable technologies to accelerate the transition. JustH2Transit combines key multidisciplinary expertise and organizations to provide a holistic view of the H2 transition and analyze its impact on energy, resources, climate, and society. The project focuses on opportunities provided by an abundance of renewable energy and biomass in Finland and will support and accelerate the transition through science-based knowledge dissemination and dialogue with the industry, policymakers, and the general public. JustH2Transit drives towards a just transition with resilience and technology benefits by increasing the total sustainability of energy systems and resource use.
