Project description
Project investigates lumber camps and environmental impacts of logging in northern Finland between 1900-1960 from an archaeological perspective. Our main research questions are:
1) How was everyday life in camps?
2) What were the environmental impacts of logging on forests?
3) How can art contribute to the popularization of scientific knowledge about the environmental effects of logging?
