The research group focuses especially on common infectious diseases in children.

  • M.D. Hilla Pöyry: Pediatric emergency department visits and parental assessment of acutely ill children
  • M.D. Saara Lehtiranta: Electrolyte disturbances and intravenous fluid therapy in acutely ill children
  • M.D. Katja Kielenniva: Microbiota of the first stool after birth
  • M.Sc. Jenni Turunen: The bacteriome, mycobiome and extracellular vesicles of the neonatal and infant gut microbiota
