Green Transition Supply Chains, SME Business Development, Renewable Energy, Regional Development, Spatial Agglomeration
I am a doctoral researcher at the Kerttu Saalasti Institute, University of Oulu, working within the EU co-funded ARVO project. My doctoral research examines how local SMEs in Northern Finland can build the capabilities and collaboration needed to participate in business opportunities created by large green-transition investments such as hydrogen, wind, and battery-storage projects. Drawing on spatial agglomeration theory, the research combines qualitative fieldwork with regional SMEs and EPC contractors and quantitative spatial analysis to prevent regional 'value leakage' and strengthen sustainable local business ecosystems. I hold an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from LUT University, where my thesis examined green practice adoption among 58 companies in Kymenlaakso.
