I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the Learning and Educational Technology (LET) Research Lab. My research focuses on social interaction and regulation of learning in collaborative learning contexts. I employ a process-oriented research approach and multimodal data collected in authentic group learning situations (e.g., video recordings and situational questionnaires), which enable the investigation of interaction and regulation of learning as phenomena that unfold over time and in relation to learners’ internal conditions.

I am also interested in how teachers can support the development of learning skills as part of collaborative learning. Currently, I am working on an Research Council of Finland–funded Proof of Concept project, SSRL Toolkit: Strengthening Learning Meta-Skills in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – A New Tool for Teachers. The Meta-Skills Toolkit for Learning being developed in the project provides teachers with a concrete tool to support the development of students’ meta-skills.
