I am an environmental historian focusing on the Anthropocene in the Arctic and beyond. My current research and teaching interests lie in energy histories, environmental history of peatlands, technology-environment interaction, and historical transitions.
In addition, I co-lead a joint-minor in Environmental Humanities and Social Sciences (UOULU and ULAPLAND).
