I completed my MSc in Hydrology and Water Management, with a research focus on river ice dynamics in northern regions. My expertise lies in remote sensing hydrology, where I integrate multi-source satellite data to monitor river dynamics in cold-climate environments. I am particularly interested in exploring the potential of the SWOT (Surface Water and Ocean Topography) mission to enhance monitoring of Finnish river behaviour during the winter season.
Currently, I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu and a member of the Hydrosystems Engineering and Management (HEM) research group led by Professor Ali Torabi Haghighi. My PhD research combines hydrological, hydraulic, and remote sensing approaches to investigate how variations in discharge, flow regulation, and climate conditions influence river behaviour over time. In addition to my research activities, I actively participate in field campaigns and field visits conducted by the research group, strengthening the integration of field observations with modelling and satellite-based analyses.
