Research group description
The Hydrosystems Engineering and Management (HEM) group specializes in bridging the gaps between water, energy, ecology, and agriculture. By applying novel methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches, we move to new levels of modeling, system understanding, and impact assessment. Our studies span the globe, from the Arctic to tropical forests and arid regions, addressing the diverse challenges of sustainable water resource management. As one of the five research groups within the Water Energy and Environmental Engineering (WE3) unit, HEM is dedicated to advancing solutions for integrated and resilient land-water systems and urban water management across various ecosystems.
