Helena Louhela

I hold a PhD (2019) majoring in Educational Psychology. My thesis was supervised in gender studies at the University of Oulu where I have been working for the past 12 year in several research and development projects. These projects have focused on gendered and sexist violence, especially experienced by children and young people. The guiding theme of my work is to develop and disseminate theoretical and practical understanding and knowledge of gendered and sexist violence in order to prevent sexual violence experienced by children and young people through research and pedagogical tools and training.
