Iida Höyhtyä

I am working at Water resources and Environmental Engineering unit. My doctoral studies concentrate on control of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and phosphorus leaching in drained peatlands (peat fields, peat forests, abandoned fields). I study simultaneous effects of groundwater table conditions on GHG emissions and phosphorus leaching and effects of functional plant diversity on GHG emissions.

My studies are done in collaboration with Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and belong to research network, which develops sustainable solutions for agriculture within peaty areas.
