Mahtab Akbarzadeh Khoei is a postdoctoral researcher in Fibre and Particle Engineering at University of Oulu. She completed her PhD in the Fiber and Particle Engineering Research Unit in 2025, where her doctoral thesis, entitled “Ligand‑Assisted Dissolution and Surface Studies of Phlogopite,” focused on mineral surface chemistry and dissolution processes. She received her MSc. in Inorganic Chemistry from Sharif University of Technology in 2021 in Iran. Her current research is focused on dissolution and precipitation reactions at the mineral residue surface–liquid interface, surface characterization of industrial side streams and supplementary cementitious materials, and the role of organic ligands and complexation in enhancing the reactivity of aluminosilicate materials.
