Dr. Ziaul Hoque is conducting advanced research on machine learning and deep learning driven AI-based solutions to support personalized clinical diagnostic or therapeutic decisions, in collaboration with University of Oulu and University of Helsinki. He is actively involved in teaching and supervising programming exercises for four regular courses in the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. He also serves as technical supervisor for Doctoral and Master's thesis projects.
Besides, Dr. Hoque conducted international research visits at University of Florida, USA and ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Previously, he worked and published joint research papers with University of Alberta, Canada and University at Buffalo, USA. Apart from this, he has been awarded several encouragement and mobility travel grants by different research foundations. His expertise encompasses medical image analysis, artificial intelligence, and computer vision, making significant strides in bridging the gap between advanced technology and practical applications in healthcare.
