My current role as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oulu, Finland, focuses on decoding the isotopic fingerprint of snow sublimation. Employing a methodology that combines water isotope forensics with eddy covariance flux measurements, my research aims to illuminate the transition of snow from its solid phase into vapor—a crucial pursuit considering amplified changes in the cryospheric water cycle. To complement field measurements at the Oulanka Research Station, controlled climate experiments are planned in the Cold Climate Container at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Research interests

  • Isotope hydrology
  • Water vapor transport in ground-snowpack-atmosphere continuum
  • Atmospheric moisture transport
