Tuuli Matila

Research interests include visual studies and contemporary archaeology, focusing especially on the remembrance, politics and emotional aspects of conflicts. My dissertation examined Finnish World War II military photographs and their uses in media and museums. In my postdoctoral research I have focused on everyday life during the Cold War from an archaeological perspective.
