Ville Kantola

MSc Ville Kantola's doctoral thesis research focuses on the orientational dependence present in quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (i.e. the Magic Angle Effect), and the on application of the phenomenon as a method for studying the biochemical properties of cartilage. The goal of the research is to develop an imaging protocol for the noninvasive assessment of the condition of articular cartilage at clinical field-strength.
