M.Sc. Xin Yue studies in the cellulose team of the Fiber and Particle Research Unit. Research focus on fractionating lignin from non-wood biomasses (corn, wheat etc.) using novel acidic and alkaline deep eutectic solvent (DES) and preparing lignin nanoparticles. As well as, using the lignin fraction as a matrix for fabrication of nanocellulose hybrid materials.
