Yuan Wang
PhD
Postdoctoral researcher
I have a background in ecology and urban planning. I did my PhD studies in people's behavior and perceptions in semi-nature greenspaces, and dig into the contribution of biodiversity, landscape, and personal characteristics. I continue with postdoctoral work on quantifying the biodiversity in children's living environment using high-quality Finnish environmental datasets, and studying its association with childhood non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as, asthma, atopic dermatitis and ADHD with national register-based datasets NORDCAP. Currently I am a interdisciplinary grant funded researcher focusing on links between human health and well-being and semi-natural living environment.
