Travel support - NorDoc Summer School 2024
HBS-DP travel support for doctoral researchers to join the NorDoc Summer School 2024 "Future Expertise in Health Sciences" 18–20 August 2024 in Helsinki
This is an invitation targeted to all doctoral researchers in Health and Biosciences Doctoral Programme (HBS-DP) at the University of Oulu! Travel support will be available up to 7 doctoral researchers to participate in the NorDoc Summer School 18-20 August 2024 in Helsinki.
Target group: Doctoral researchers in HBS-DP
Costs covered by HBS-DP: Registration fee (100 €), travel costs Oulu-Helsinki-Oulu (economy), accommodation, local transportation. The total sum covered is maximum of 700 € per doctoral researcher.
Application review and selection criteria: All applications will be reviewed after the call deadline, and the awarded doctoral researchers will receive further instructions about registration and travel arrangements by email in the end of May. If there are more eligible applicants than can be supported, the selection criteria are:
- Grants are awarded with a fair distribution to doctoral researchers across different HBS disciplines.
- Priority will be given applicants who have held the first follow-up group meeting.
- Applicant’s motivation to participate the NorDoc summer school will also be evaluated.

Doctoral researchers who will attend the summer school with a poster can earn 1 ECTS credit. Please note that it is also possible to apply UniOGS travel grant for attending the NorDoc Summer School (DL 5.5.2024).
