Theoretical physics

The research of the theoretical physics group is focused on theoretical and computational condensed matter physics.
Our research topics include low-dimensional materials such as TiO2 nanoclusters and MoS2 as well as the oxidation of metal surfaces.
Mesoscopic systems such as superconducting qubits form another important research area.  A third topic is the normal and superfluid properties of a Fermi liquid applied to liquid 3He.
