
Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis
The Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS) is a new research center, combining the expertise of University of Oulu computer vision and biosignal analysis scientists. This merge took place in January, 2016. The center is composed of two research groups: Machine Vision Group and Physiological Signal Analysis Group
CMVS is led by Professor Olli Silvén with Professors Tapio Seppänen and Matti Pietikäinen as the vice-leaders. Professor Seppänen is also the leader of the Physiological Signal Analysis Group, while Professor Matti Pietikäinen leads the Machine Vision Group. The Groups consist of research teams led by Professor Silvén, Professor Pietikäinen, Professor Seppänen, Professor Janne Heikkilä and Associate Professor Guoying Zhao.
Our personnel are outstanding researchers from various countries. CMVS has an extensive international collaboration network.
