Victory for the Oulu Business School student team in the ERPsim Finnish Championships

The ERPsim Finnish Championships is an annual business simulation competition where students and professionals compete in managing the SAP S/4HANA enterprise resource planning system. This year, the competition was held for the third time, taking place on 7 May, at the Clarion Hotel in Helsinki with six student teams and eight professional teams participating.
In the competition, teams strive to build the most valuable virtual company by making strategic decisions in areas such as production, marketing, and investment. The Oulu Business School team – comprising business analytics students Duyen Nguyen, Khaled Md, Mohammad Mazharul Islam, Saman Fiaz, and Thu Phụng – competed under the guidance of University Teacher Hannu Kari and secured a victorious first place.
Additionally, they won a separate competition category that measured carbon emissions relative to sales volume. Their low emissions earned them the Sustainability prize as well.
The competition is co-organized by SAP Finug, Centria University of Applied Sciences, ERPsim Lab (HEC Montréal), and SAP Finland.
