Face-mask recommendation ends – You can still use mask at your discretion
The University of Oulu lightens the recommendation for the use of face-maks and the use of mask is no longer necessary on the university premises. The recommendation is based on the new instructions of the The Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL).
THL still recommends the use of mask in public spaces and transport
- for those who seek treatment or test due to suspicion of coronavirus infection
- for those with symptoms, but moving outside the home is necessary
- for those who know they have been exposed to coronavirus (e.g., family members have infections) and it is not possible to avoid contacts with other people
Please do not enter campuses if you feel ill or suspect coronavirus infection. When everyone acts responsibly, the everyday life on campuses is safe and the work and studies can continue without interruptions.
