Research group description
Geotechnical engineering is one of the research groups of Civil engineering research unit. The group is responsible for teaching and research related to geotechnics, and also manages the geotechnical laboratory in the university premises. The focus areas of research are:
- Mining environments in cold climate
- Dam engineering
- Soil frost
- Geoenvironmental engineering
- Geotechnical modelling
- Remote sensing and drone-based techniques
