Wildife genetics and genomics, domestication, phylogeography, molecular ecology

My research includes thesmes of wildife genetics, conservation genetics, molecular ecology, phylogeography, domestication ja evolution. I am interested in how historical geological events and recent anthropogenic changes and life-histories of species have affected genetic structures of wildlife. The latest addition to my research thesmes is domeatication of animals. My study species include mammals (e.g. horse, wolverine, wolf), birds (e.g. falcons, eagles parids) and plants (e.g. viola, Himalayan balsam).
