Viola Borchardt Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat)

Present position

Post-doctoral researcher, University of Oulu

Research summary

My current research involves analysis of temporal fluctuations in both hemodynamic and water signals derived from MRI-compatible custom-made NIRS.
The specific interest is how these fluctuations and interrelations change upon sleep deprivation.
Moreover, my responsibility is also in multimodal simultaneous measurements involving fMRI, MREG, NIBP, EEG, NIRS and respiratory monitoring in healthy subjects as well as patients suffering from dementia, epilepsy, narcolepsy, and psychosis.
