Biography

In my arts-based doctoral research I am focusing on the attachments and deattachments of elementary schools girls in children's (hetero)sexual peer cultures. I am using new-materialist and post-humanist approaches to foreground children's peer cultures as contextual, performative and fluid networks which are constantly affected by different kinds of material forces. The aim of the research is to raise awareness of girls power relations and to help educators to address gender, sexuality and gender diversity with ethically sustainable manners in children’s peer cultures.
