My research field is interactional linguistics, and I have conducted studies in multilingual and multimodal interaction. I am currently interested in the way people negotiate small everyday decisions with their families and friends. Another current research interest is multilingual language use, code-switching. In these projects, we examine how words and grammar from two languages form new constructions, and how these constructions are used to perform social actions in interaction. I also have a small part in a project that studies interaction of people with ASD.
