University of Oulu Science Garden

Welcome to the Science Garden! A visitor center has been established in the verdant environment of the Botanical Gardens of the University of Oulu to serve as a meeting point for the scientific community, sustainable development, green companies and visitors. A science exhibition has been launched in the lobby area of the Botanical Gardens where different research projects of the University of Oulu will be showcased. In the facilities you can also get acquainted with the Virtual Showroom which will showcase low-carbon companies from Northern Ostrobothnia. Multifunctional space Sara is an excellent place to have workshops, hackathons and events that require group work. You can book meeting room Vanamo for different kinds of smaller meetings.

You can book the rooms of the Science Garden via email sciencegarden@oulu.fi. Please get acquainted with the rooms and their availability through the links below and the Science Garden map before making an inquiry. You can book guided tours to the greenhouses of the Botanical Garden here.

Please notice that the doors of the University of Oulu Botanical gardens and the Science Garden are not open for the public for now due to the Coronavirus situation. We will inform about any changes on this website. It is possible to book the rooms for small events, please check the restrictions from the rooms' own pages below aswell as the instructions on the University of Oulu COVID-19 webpage.
