The University of Oulu Graduate School has annually two application periods:
- Application period 1: 1.1.–30.4.
- Application period 2: 1.7.–31.10.

The doctoral degree programme in economics and business administration is part of the Human Sciences Doctoral Programme in the University of Oulu Graduate School. The main goal of the Graduate School is to promote high-quality doctoral education for all doctoral researchers at the University of Oulu.
