fTwist project's training programme supports women's path to entrepreneurship and responsible leadership

The fourth and final training programme of the fTwist project, Vaikuta ja johda vastuullisesti, begins on 18 September 2025. The programme is conducted in Finnish and offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in areas such as leadership style, impact leadership, strategic thinking, risk management, and leading diverse teams. Emphasis is placed on practical relevance and building professional networks. The six-month programme includes expert lectures, workshops, and an international study trip.
Jointly organised by Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oamk) and the Martti Ahtisaari Institute at the Oulu Business School, University of Oulu, the training is part of the ESR-funded fTwist project. It continues the work of earlier entrepreneurship and leadership programmes that aim to strengthen women’s role in business and leadership. The need is clear: according to statistics, 33 percent of all entrepreneurs are women. The percentage of female company employees is smaller at only 21 percent, which means most work as solo entrepreneurs. The programme builds competencies in areas such as commercialising products and services, developing business ideas, and applying sustainable and responsible leadership practices.
Application period is open until 31 May 2025. The programme is conducted in Finnish.
