The 6G Resilience Summit was hosted in Oulu on 18–19 November 2025, convening leaders from government, academia, and industry to discuss how future networks can withstand disruptive events and evolving risks. Key elements of the programme included the official launch of the 6G Resilience White Paper, engaging panels, academic presentations, and a poster session.

Professor Petri Ahokangas contributed to the White Paper together with Seppo Yrjölä, Marja Matinmikko-Blue, and a wide team of co-authors. He also co-authored the poster “Mini-Scenarios for Analyzing Resilience Effects of Local 6G Networks”. Dr. Oxana Gisca served as a reviewer of the White Paper, while Zohreh Yousefi Dahka presented her poster “Connecting Resilience and Sustainability in 6G”.

The event was formally opened by Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice President for Tech Sovereignty and Democracy of the European Parliament, who highlighted resilience as a strategic priority for Europe. Additional remarks were delivered by Petteri Alahuhta (University of Oulu) and Ari Pouttu (6G Flagship). Heidi Himmanen of Traficom further addressed national and international policy aspects of 6G resilience.
