Growth from the circulation with green techniques
The aim of the project is to promote the circular economy and identify new business opportunities, especially in the fish processing industry. The project identifies potential material flows in Northern Finland and implements material flow optimization to increase the recyclability of materials. In the CircLab demonstration environment, the treatment of the fish processing wastewater using microalgae will be investigated, and the further utilization of the produced algal biomass will be investigated. In addition, the project investigates the recovery of chitin from fish scales.
