Dr. Hanna Virpiranta works as a postdoctoral researcher in Chemical Process Engineering research unit. Her research is related to biological treatment of industrial side streams and recovery of valuable components. Hanna has worked in several projects which aim to reduce environmental impacts of mining activity. Development and testing of biological water treatment methods in laboratory scale are area of her expertise.
