Postdoctoral researcher | Docent in Ecohydrology
Ecohydrology, Aquatic Ecology, Microbiology
I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in Arctic Ecology and Biogeochemistry research group led by professor Jeffrey Welker. My current research project ‘Understanding changing Arctic water cycle and its effects on northern freshwater ecosystems’ is investigating atmospheric-hydrological-freshwater ecosystem continuum of fluxes and processes. The overall goal is to elevate our understanding of how changing Arctic water cycle is manifested in catchment water biochemical pathways and ecosystem processes sustained by stream microbial communities.
Research interests
- Arctic water cycle processes and their interactions
- Climate change impacts on northern stream ecosystems
