Outi Kähäri is a sociologist and postdoctoral researcher interested in memory studies, politics of memory and embodied forms of memory. Currently, she is working in the research project “Postmemory of Family Separation: An Intergenerational Perspective” funded by the Academy of Finland. At the moment, her study concentrates on biographical research and new methodological approaches on “postmemory” in the context of intergenerational reminiscing of Ingrian family histories. Previously, she has also explored migration related issues and labor market integration of Russians in Finland in the framework of trust research.
