Biography

I am a professor of clinical epidemiology working mainly on psychiatric and psychological topics in the Northern Finland Birth Cohort studies. I am currently working also as a vice-dean of the University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS). I have experience from several national and international projects relating to life course epidemiology. My background is in statistics and epidemiology. I have supervised 16 doctoral students and I have over 300 publications in journals and text books. I am currently working as a vice-dean of the University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS), my responsible are are the courses offered by UniOGS. I am also member for Doctoral Training Committee of Health and Bioscience Doctoral Program, where I am responsible for PhD degrees in medicine.
