This work package investigates the processes and mechanisms of business acceptance within the hydrogen economy. The research includes a preliminary literature review and empirical studies. Findings might be disseminated at public events, supporting the development of business acceptance of hydrogen applications, particularly in relation to mobile refueling solutions. ITEE - CWC, M3S, 6G.

The work package examines the wireless communication requirements of a hydrogen refueling station and the communication architecture required for the interaction between the refueling station and vehicles. The review includes the use of sensor technology, IoT technology, and artificial intelligence-based optimization algorithms. FTech-CIV.

Through pilot testing, this work package examines the impacts of hydrogen refueling stations on traffic systems and urban infrastructure. Using scenario analyses, the operations of hydrogen stations and their broader effects on transportation systems will be modelled. Particular attention is given to traffic safety and compliance with the EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). Research Director Stefan Walter, Civil Engineering.

The objective of the work package is to map and analyze the stakeholders of the hydrogen refueling pilot. Through stakeholder mapping and analysis, the needs, challenges, and opportunities of stakeholder collaboration, as well as the salience of stakeholders, are described. Methods such as surveys, interviews, and workshops are key measures in initiating stakeholder collaboration. The initiation of stakeholder collaboration supports multidisciplinary research, co-development of implementation, and social acceptability. This work package explores the information related to the durability of hydrogen transportation and storage materials, particularly in Finland’s cold climate. The aim is to increase knowledge of materials that support the implementation of safe and cost-effective solutions for mobile hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
