Environmental and Chemical Engineering

Environmental and Chemical Engineering (ECE) research unit consist of three research subgroups: Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry and Control Engineering.

ECE participates in teaching in three educational degree programmes, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Chemistry.

Core competence areas are catalysis, separation processes, modelling, and design of sustainable unit operations and processes.

Main research themes include synthetic and structural main group chemistry, ash-related problems in power plants and inorganic polymers.

Control Engineering

Research is directed towards process modelling and control as well as industrial applications of artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis.
