The Oulu Business School (OBS) is one of the first Nordic business schools to earn AACSB International business accreditation. Only roughly five per cent of the world’s business schools have fulfilled the AACSB quality standards.
At OBS, the main focus in marketing education and research is on business-to-business relationships and networks, digital business, services marketing and branding. The programme emphasises ethical and responsible perspectives on business and offers acomprehensive understanding of the environmental, social and economic aspects of sustainable development in an interconnected world.
Students will gain a deep understanding of customer value and relevant marketing processes across organizations and individuals, specifically in growth venture and start-up company contexts. Students will develop expertise in key marketing areas such as branding, campaigns, sustainable marketing, procurement and logistics, and digital marketing practices.

The programme content is based on internationally recognized, high-quality research and is carried out in close co-operation with the business community. Visiting lecturers are working professionals and students work with real-life case studies. Students join an international study environment where they can develop their communication, leadership and team-working skills. The programme will help students to develop not only their professional capabilities but also their abilities in applying scientific knowledge to the practice of marketing. Graduates are therefore well-equipped to apply for positions in the industry as well as continue their academic careers.
