Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano- and microsize membrane surrounded structures that are secreted in a context dependent manner by most if not all cells of the human body and likely other species as well. While EVs play a key role in cell signaling and cell communication as a new systemic layer, their role in the pathogenesis, and potential use as tools in diagnostics and therapeutic applications of a number of diseases is currently under intense investigation. This seminar will focus on the latest advances and the future opportunities of EV research related to human health and disease. The seminar is free and open for everybody. Welcome!
