Phong Nguyen

I am working as the PhD researcher at the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis. Before doing PhD in Oulu, I received the Bachelor degree of Mechatronics from Ha Noi University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Viet Nam and then got the MSc degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Dongguk University in South Korea.

My research topic is about Computer Vision and Deep Learning / Machine Learning. Right now, I am trying to solve the problem of novel view synthesis in the large scale in-door scenes for the the mixed Virtual-Reality (VR) application. Using just a small amount of observations including captured images and their camera poses, I would like to perform 3D reconstruction of the indoor scene.
