Description of project:
We research how ICT companies can adapt to radically new business conditions and opportunities in real-time or even proactively with action research and case methodologies. In the project we will contribute by co-creating approaches, processes, methods, capabilities, and tools for exploring and exploiting business opportunities and business models in a forward-looking perspective outside existing business domains. The main goal is to create a foundation for the next generation competitive strategy and operating processes that together form a response to the rapidly changing economic conditions.
Research consortium or cooperation partners:
Need for speed is a DIGILE program, consisting of 26 companies and 10 research organizations. Oulu Business school is cooperating with Elektrobit, JUTEL, VividWorks, F-Secure, Lappeenranta University of Technology and University of Jyväskylä, these partners can change during the program. OBS team: Professor Veikko Seppänen, Professor Timo Koivumäki, Project Manager Marko Juntunen, Project Manager Petri Ahokangas and doctoral students Jenni Myllykoski and Xu Yueqiang.
(Anticipated) results of the project:
Three doctoral dissertations, several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, several master’s these s. In addition , we plan to contribute to the renewal and growth of businesses and start-ups within the project by developing tools, approaches, and models for rapid business growth and change.
