Heta Helakari

Heta Helakari works as doctoral researcher in Oulu Functional Neuroimaging group, and as a teacher and international coordinator in Biomedical Engineering degree programme. Her thesis topic is Glymphatic brain pulsations during awake and sleep.

Heta’s main research area concerns neuroimaging, and she has several publications in the field. She is attracted understanding neurosciences and wants to produce novel information concerning human brain physiology and pathologies. Her main goal is to find ways to prevent severe brain diseases and develop technologies for more effective diagnostics and treatment.
