Satu Pitkäaho received the M.Sc. (Tech.) and D.Sc. degrees in Process Engineering from the University of Oulu, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. She is currently working as Environmental Engineering Study Programme Director at the Faculty of Technology and university lecturer at the Environmental and Chemical Engineering Research Unit. In addition, she is the Programme Director in NJIT-Oulu School Environmental Engineering Bachelor Programme. Her current research interests is in environmental catalysis, especially in industrial emission abatement, wastewater treatment, CO2 utilization, and hydrogen production.
