Kasvatustieteiden ja psykologian tiedekunta
Since completing his PhD in 2017, Tuure Tammi has worked in several transdisciplinary, externally funded projects examining multispecies relations (AniMate, CitiRats, Fellow Feelings, Small Matters, MUST). Drawing from relational ontology and critical posthumanist and multispecies scholarship, his work explores the theoretical, methodological and philosophical questions arising from the specific circumstances where species meet. He is a co-leader of a transdisciplinary AniMate research group (led by prof. Pauliina Rautio), which explores matters related to being and becoming human with other animals. He is also an editor for academic journal Trace – Journal for Human-Animal Studies. He has been involved as an engineer, a producer, a musician and sound artist in several recording projects and performances, thus sound matters are also among his philosophical and research interests.
