We have Bachelor (BSc) and Masters of Science (MSc) and Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) Programs in Geography, which provide excellent skills for academic and other work life. The annual intake for the BSc degree program in Geography is 35 students. Teaching is based on the subjects of the research staff and performed by lectures, seminars, reading circles, book examinations, tutorials and field courses. The BSc and MSc degree programs are in Finnish. However, the Geography Research Unit offers over 20 courses in English for our exchange students from European (Erasmus) and other exchange programs. In addition, the Unit hosts an international Double Degree Program in Tourism Geographies and Tourism and Regional Planning – Management and Geography.
