THE ANNUAL MEETING OF FINNISH GEOGRAPHERS 2020
Geography and society
The theme of the annual meeting Searching for solutions emphasizes the social impact of geography research. Geography and geographers offer solutions to variety of phenomena ranging from climate change to biodiversity loss, from economic crises to the environmental damage of mining, and from sustainable tourism to regional differentiation and well-being.
This year, we would like to warmly welcome actors and experts from outside the university. You can participate
- proposing a session topic, i.e. a small group discussions, alone or together with a researcher,
- giving your own presentation during an interesting session (call for papers will be start once the sessions have been published), or
- as an audience for both keynote lectures and sessions.
On Thursday 29th there will also be a conference dinner where you can purchase a dinner card upon registration. The event offers a casual opportunity to meet other geographers and geography-minded people.
