-    Carbon nanotube based composites for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
-    Sensors and biosensors

Research experience:
Techniques: Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),
Raman Imaging, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), angle contact measurements.
Materials: hydrogels, carbon nanotube based scaffolds, carbon nanotube synthesis, melanin, cellulose, thin films; bone, PLA/HA composite, bacteria biofilm, membrane, cell adhesion.

2009 – 2010: PhD research in the Institute of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry – Ulm University – Germany. This exchange was supported by DAAD (Germany) scholarship in collaboration with FAPESP (Brazil) scholarship.
