The University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oamk) are organizing a Dance Anthropology course together with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Stockholm University.

What’s it about?
The course will offer an advanced introduction to and specialised knowledge of different fields of dance and movement anthropology. Special attention will be paid to Nordic research and projects as well as to the following themes: dance and well-being, dance and ethnic identities, embodiment, and kinaesthesia.
Who can participate?
This is an advanced course targeted at Master’s and PhD students of cultural anthropology, humanities, education and anyone interested.
What else do I need to know?
The course consists of three modules, and a student may attend all of them or only one or two. The lectures are organized as a one week intensive course. You will have an opportunity to study in an international group and meet people from other Nordic countries.
The course is taught in English.
